How YUnique Pictures seamlessly bridged overseas creatives with local execution to deliver a high-stakes MV in just 6 days.
Delivering seamless international production services in Singapore requires the ability to leverage extensive local resources and integrate them with technical precision.
It was precisely this capability that led YUnique Pictures (YP) to the PUBG Mobile 2026 theme song shoot, where the global gaming franchise collaborated with multi-platinum U.S. band OneRepublic to create the hit music video “Lean”. As the primary partner for this project, YP provided end-to-end music video production in Singapore.
” This high-stakes project demanded precise local execution to bring a complex creative vision to life, alongside elite logistical expertise to serve top-tier international talent. “
As specialists in cross border film production, we rapidly mobilized local resources and managed a seamless bilingual workflow. During pre-production, we acted as the crucial bridge between the visiting China-based creative team and the local technical crews to ensure the vision was fully achievable. Ultimately, we escorted the Chinese director and camera team to Singapore to oversee the on-site shoot, effectively uniting the US artists, the China-based team, and our local singaporean crew.
This successful execution stands as a testament to our proven expertise in filming in Singapore for global brands and top-tier artists.

The Challenge: High-Stakes Build, Zero Margin for Delay
We received the official greenlight just six days before the shoot, immediately following the Chinese New Year holiday. The project required not only flawless logistics but also significant technical engineering:
- The Location: A 350+ sqm studio with high ceilings.
- The Crew: Veteran Lighting and Grip teams to flawlessly execute the creative vision, backed by a premium production crew dedicated to servicing top-tier international talent.
- The Props: Sourcing specific brand musical instruments that met the band’s exacting standards.
- Complex Lighting: Rigging and programming over 60 lighting fixtures to sync with the music.
- Complex Engineering: Build a massive rotating “Clock” mechanism to symbolize the passage of time (8 anniversary).
- Extreme Time Crunch: We had only a single get-in day for pre-lighting and presetting, and the band had a strict 4-hour window in their schedule for filming.
Our Solution: Precision, Speed, and Local Power
1. Rapid Deployment in Singapore
2. Engineering the “Time” Concept
To represent the game’s 8-year journey, the director envisioned a surreal, rotating clock. This was a complex motorized rotating truss rig, not just a prop. We prioritized safety with rigorous load-bearing and rotation tests prior to the band’s arrival. Our lighting team then designed a dynamic rig to interact with the moving structure, creating a seamless “time-lapse” effect.
3. Technical Execution: Lighting & Programming
The lighting needed to sync dynamically with the song’s rhythm. We deployed over 60 high-output fixtures, including top-tier moving heads and pixel arrays. Meanwhile, our lighting team programmed precise cues via a grandMA3 console. This created a pulsating environment that perfectly matched the tempo and energy of “Lean.”
4. The 4-Hour Window
With only a strict 4-hour filming block, there was zero margin for error. We strategically orchestrated the shooting rundown by batching costume changes, set resets, and instrument repositioning into dedicated blocks, thereby maximizing the band’s actual filming time.
Despite the compressed timeline, the production ran flawlessly. We seamlessly bridged the international creative vision with local technical execution, delivering all required shots within the limited filming window.
This project highlights YUnique Pictures’ core strengths:
- Extensive Local Resources: A deep network of specialized crews, studios, and gear in Singapore.
- Cross-Border Coordination: An experienced bilingual producer team seamlessly connecting overseas creatives with local execution.
- Extreme Execution: Proven capability to handle complex mechanical builds and turn tight deadlines into successful shoots.
